Caritas Europa joins dozens of civil society organisations and social movements from across Europe to affirm its determination to promote a Europe that is fair, sustainable and based on solidarity.

On 21 and 22 March 2024, Caritas Europa and dozens of civil society organisations, gathered at the European Citizens’ Summit,  in Belgium. The Summit was organised under the realm of the Belgian Presidency of the European Union, to discuss key issues of our time, such as: food systems transformation, a positive vision toward migration, fairer multilateralism system and institutions, enforcement of human rights and social and environmental standards in private sector activities, human rights at the forefront of foreign policy, international solidarity.

Panel discussions focused on the EU’s role in these issues and paved the way for the adoption of a joint declaration by European civil society and social movements, including Caritas Europa.
