Communication & Fundraising Forums 2023

Between 3-6 October 2023, Caritas Europa organises a 2-day Communication Forum back-to-back with a 2-day Fundraising Forum in Valetta, hosted by Caritas Malta.

The Forums aim to bring together practitioners from the network in the respective fields to exchange experiences and promising practices as well as to foster peer learning. Participants will be able to strengthen their knowledge on the practical aspects around communications and fundraising.

The Communication Forum takes place on Tuesday 3 – Wednesday 4 October.

Participants are expected to arrive already the evening before. A dinner will be provided then. Those not staying for the Fundraising Forum but leaving only on Thursday 5 October are welcome to join the storytelling session taking place that morning. All participants present in the evening of 4 October are welcome to join the dinner organised for the Fundraising Forum participants.

The Fundraising Forum takes place on Thursday 5 – Friday 6 October.

Participants are expected to arrive aleady the evening before. A dinner will be provided then. Participants arriving earlier on 4 October are welcome to join a project visit organised by Caritas Malta on that Wednesday afternoon.

Please note that Caritas Europa will be able to cover the participation of only a limited number of members. Therefore, we encourage you to ask your organisation to cover your travel and accommodation costs. If in addition your organisation would like to show solidarity and cover the costs of other participants, please indicate it in the registration form below.

Please register as soon as possible. Registrations will close at latest on 30 June 2023, earlier if all available places are filled. Your participation will be confirmed on a first come first served basis. Please do not book your flights yet, simply indicate the expected dates of arrival and departure based on the draft programme.

The event is open for members of the invited working structures being all 7 Working Groups, the 4 Committees and the Innovation Task Force.

Participation fee

Participation is free of charge.

Travel support

Caritas Europa covers the following costs for a limited number of participants based on CARES or CETS rules. If you can feasibly travel by train, you are encouraged to do so.

We will reimburse:

  • Transportation costs from/to airport/venue by public transport;
  • Flights or (international) trains.

Accommodation during the event is booked and paid by Caritas Europa. Lunches and dinners during the event are organised and paid by Caritas Europa and will not be reimbursed.

Please use this expenses claim to request for reimbursement.
