Knowledge Management
24 - 26 SEPTEMBER 2019
We are inviting colleagues from Caritas Europa member organisations to the second knowledge management (KM) workshop that takes place from Tuesday 24 September 14:00 to Thursday 26 September 13:00 in Vienna, Austria.
Anyone seeking to improve knowledge sharing practices in his/her organisation and eager to get to grips with some practical tools and approaches is welcome!
Please note that 1 person per organisation can register. Exceptions need to be explicitly motivated. Participation of a second person from the same organisation will not be covered by Caritas Europa.
About the workshop
Caritas is PEOPLE centred and this workshop will have a people focus:
- What are the main KM issues related to people in our organisations? Examples: HR to do KM work; turnover challenges and meetings. How do we deal with them?
- What are the tools and practices that will help us improve in relation to these KM issues? We will receive expert advice, solutions and ‘quick wins’ and revisit existing network-wide tools.
- More generally: How can you address the weaknesses you identified in your organisation regarding KM issues related to ‘people’? Start drafting an action plan!
The workshop is designed for you to:
- Get to know more about people-centred KM tools and approaches and to practice some of them.
- Get concrete ideas for a KM action plan to improve your organisation’s people-centred KM, based on the results of the assessment you did before coming to the workshop and actually start drafting your plan.
- Give your feedback to help improve and finalise the Caritas Europa KM self-assessment tool!
You can expect a lot of practice, dynamic group work and concrete results.
Please come prepared!
NB:
Before the end of August, participants will receive the detailed programme and the draft knowledge management self-assessment tool that the KM task force is developing.
Knowledge management expert Ruth Jolly (ima international) will facilitate the event.
