Welcome to the Caritas Europa online training on the Emergency Response Mechanism!

What is this course about?

It presents Caritas Europa and the support and funding mechanism available in the Caritas network when a country is facing a humanitarian emergency. Learners will increase their understanding of the Emergency Response Mechanism (ERM). In this course participants will learn about:

• case studies in Albania and in Bosnia and Herzegovina where the ERM was activated;
• Caritas Europa and its working structures;
• the protocol between Caritas Europa and Caritas Internationalis on emergency coordination.

Who should take this course?

This eLearning course is aimed at Caritas organisations in Europe, and more particularly the staff and volunteers who are involved in the response to a disaster or a humanitarian emergency. Therefore, the audience of the course includes both staff from national and diocesan Caritas organisations.

It should take you around 45 minutes to complete the whole course.
